Sportsman PDL 120

The Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 is a stable sit-on-top fishing kayak built around the PDL Drive pedal system, giving anglers hands-free control with instant forward and reverse movement. Its 3.7 m length, 91.4 cm width, and quiet DoubleU hull make it well suited to lakes, calm bays, and slow-moving rivers, while still offering the stability needed for stand-up fishing.

Built from single-layer polyethylene, the kayak weighs 52.6 kg without gear. The manufacturer lists a total capacity of 227 kg, with up to 174 kg recommended for the paddler and gear. The adjustable Element seat uses breathable, UV-resistant materials for longer sessions, and both the seat and PDL Drive can be removed to make transport easier.

For fishing, the Sportsman PDL 120 includes one forward-facing and two rear-facing flush-mounted rod holders, two accessory tracks for fish finders, rod holders, and other accessories, plus a large rear tankwell with a bungee system for tackle crates, coolers, or extra gear. EVA foam deck pads improve grip and help reduce noise inside the kayak, while the sealed bow hatch and centre hatch provide storage and access to the hull for rigging electronics.
